A Juicy Few Months

Heya! Ok, so I know it's been a long while and your probably expecting a essay on what I've been up to. . . . but this month I fortunately have more to show you than I do to tell you. . . which should be fun :D!
Over the past couple of months I've done quite a bit in the way of T.V & Film, rather than my comfort zone which is the stage, which has been wonderful. . . With the exception of Two short pieces. Not so long after my musical 'Rehab', I took part in Oval House Theatres' 'Give Me A Voice Not A Label' as the introduction to year TWO, of the 'Truth About Youth' project. An evening of music, improvisation and dance in response to the London riots. We had artists such as singer/songwriter 'Dionne Reid', voice box genius 'Faith SFX', funny man rapper 'Conrad the Scoundral' and a host of some of the most talented actors on the scene right now, including Kyla Frye, Kyle Turlunch, Michael Salami, and a whole bunch more. We even had some of our local government members in the audience, to take part in the group debate about how and why the riots happened.
Here's a little video filmed by the 'Youth Media Agency' telling  and showing you what the night was all about!

                   A Lil Bit More Theatre
. . . And recently (this Monday) I had the pleasure of taking part in the 'Five Minute Festival' at the Lost Theatre. An Emotionally Charged short Piece written and directed by my close friend, Roy Alexander Weisse. Alongside actors Aiesha Lindsay, Paris Campbell, Reuben Webb and Jerome Millington! We entered the festival at the very last minute, giving us only one day to learn our lines, rehearse and perform! A massive challenge but extremely fulfilling. We did a brill job, and it was great being back on the stage after 3 months.
New Head Shot! New Agent :D
Right! I have mighty good news. If you remember my last blog post, you would remember me mentioning my exhausting mission to get signed to an acting agency I auditioned for over four days, whilst running a show and working night shifts . . . Well through all that lack of sleep, and borrowed energy from Red Bull and Caffeine, I got signed!!! I have to give all the thanks and praise to God because since then I have been a really busy girl! I am now an official actor on the books of Hoxton Street Management & I'm real proud to be able to say so.. . . and also, finally, a Spotlight Member  . . . this took me a while to sort out! Tis done :D

The Photos Are Here!!!
Over the last couple of months I have managed to gather some photos from two of the many theatre productions I have performed in this year. You may remember the very popular one act piece I performed in January, 'Suffocation' by the one and Only Arinze Kene at the Oval House Theatre. It was an absolute honour to be casted as lead female in a play written by an award winning playwright and actor like Arinze.
It was by far the most challenging play I have ever been part of, and I am still proud to say so. The cast, the most talented actors to be working alongside, and the bonus, we all became wonderful friends.
Many didn't get a chance to see it because the tickets sold like 'Hot   Cakes', but I finally got my hands on some of the photos from our first Tech & Dress Rehearsal, for you to have a look at :)

'SUFFOCATION'

My Most Recent theatre production 'REHAB' the Musical, ended in Early September, and I also have a few photos that were taken  during our Last performance at the Lost Theatre. I told you all about the emotional ride I went on during the making of that show in my last blog post, but the end out come was simply amazing. We also had the pleasure of having a cast photo shoot & reunion dinner after the show, which is absolutely wonderful to look back on from time to time.
'REHAB' the Musical

Just a few pics from our photo shoot . . .

Now enough with the photos! Here's the juicy bits! Whoop! :D

CEE CEE ON T.V
Most of you know that I was recently cast in my first T.V job since getting signed, which was a Christmas commercial for Tesco. This was majorly exciting for me and an amazing achievement. My first taste of the world of television, and I loved every minute of it. After my day at work on set, I decided commercials aren't to be underestimated. For just over 30 seconds worth of airtime, I was on set for over 8 hours. It was defo hard work, all of which I enjoyed of course :). It was only on the television for a couple weeks so for those who didn't catch it, here it is . . . you see me for all of 3 seconds lol

MORE JUICE!!!
If you follow my blog often you would have most definitely heard of Kool Beanz Productions. If not, you have now :). Nathan Bryon & Stuart Harris-Tench are a genius comedy duo, who write and film their own comedy sketches! They are brilliant. You may also remember me mentioning that I had the privilege of being part of their sketch series for the BFI Film festival, you may have even seen the photos from the shoot, but! Have you seen the actual Comedy Sketch? If not, you're in luck! Kool Beanz uploaded the sketch to their brilliant YouTube channel just over a month ago. Enjoy!

IT GETS JUICIER!!!
I cant say this year (2011) has been anything other than AMAZING for me. But the cherry on top has to be finding my family in Christ and Church El-Shaddai. Since God called me there my relationship with God and every aspect of my life has just flourished. Of course the wonderful people I have met play a huge part in this. But! Before I go off topic, I must introduce an extremely, utterly, tremendously, ridiculously, hilarious and talented Production Company, run by Arthur Sempebwa, called 'KuKu Studioz' . . . a comedy/short film company . . . (its all in the name), who I have had the pleasure of working with. They aren't just any kind of comedy company. No. They tell stories with morals & interesting twists.
Here's their vision:
"Our vision is to write, produce & make films to make you laugh, think & challenge your belief system. We draw inspiration from the gospel and combine it with the struggles, joys and experiences that young people go through, to give you something a bit KuKu!"
I met Arthur at my wonderful church and the first thing he said to me (after asking my name) was, are you an actress? :s. . . I dont believe in coincidences . . . any way to cut a long story short, he asked me to be in his short comedy film, and of course I said yes. . . Now without being biased, I must say its one of the funniest things I've watched in a long time!. . .
Now This is an INTERACTIVE Short Film, so keep your eyes peeled for the Pop Up options at the left hand side of the screen, and click em for your choice of what to see :)
'IMAGINE'

. . . and for a taste of the giggles that occur behind the scenes of filming comedy . . .

Now KuKu Studioz have an hugely entertaining You Tube Channel! For More Funny stuff Check It out! Subscribe! Support the Movement!

. . . They also now have their very own website . . .

If you fancy another giggle, here's a short comedy monologue I filmed a few months ago. Out of boredom comes creativity :D
Well I think that's about it for now! Thank you so much for reading and supporting!
 God Bless
